1. Introduction
Welcome to TeqHire. This Terms of Service ("Agreement") is a binding contract between you and Taekniradningar ehf. ("TeqHire"), the operator of www.teqhire.com/.is (the "Site") and our related recruitment services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Site or Service, clicking on the “I Accept” button, completing the registration process, and/or simply browsing the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. You also represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract with TeqHire and have the authority to enter into this Agreement personally or on behalf of the company you have named as the employer.
2. Description of Service
TeqHire provides an online platform that facilitates the connection between job seekers ("Prospective Employees") and employers ("Employers") looking to hire. The Service allows Employers to post job opportunities and Prospective Employees to submit their profiles and apply for jobs.
3. Fee Structure
Domestic Hiring within Iceland
Fee: Equivalent to two full month's salaries plus VAT.
Retainer Fee: Negotiable for initiating vacancy projects.
Minimum Fee: 6,000 for any hire facilitated by TeqHire, regardless of salary.
Hiring Contractors Outside of Iceland (External Team Members - ETM)
Fee: 25% of the total contract value plus VAT, billed monthly.
Hiring Contractors Within Iceland
Fee: 20% of the total contract value plus VAT, billed monthly.
4. Payment Terms
Fees are due upon the engagement of a candidate through any form of a signed employment or contractor agreement facilitated by TeqHire.
5. User Responsibilities
Confidentiality: Users agree to keep all information gained from using our Site confidential and to use any content submitted by Prospective Employees in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
Content: Users are responsible for any content they post, transmit, or submit through our Site and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Guarantee: Replacement Hire Policy
If an employment relationship terminates within 90 days of the start date under specific conditions, TeqHire will provide a replacement hire at no additional cost. This applies to terminations due to unsatisfactory performance, voluntary resignation, or mutual agreement to discontinue employment.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
TeqHire provides the Site and Service "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TeqHire and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, expenses, or damages arising from your use of the Site or Service or your violation of this Agreement.
9. Limitation of Liability
TeqHire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Site or Services.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the District Court of Reykjavik.
11. Changes to the Terms of Service
TeqHire reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Terms on the Site. Changes will become effective immediately for new users and after thirty days for existing users.
